Praise for Change of Heart

I adored this book. Courtney Walsh has a gift for creating novels that illustrate some aspect of love. With Paper Hearts, it was cherishing the good and the bad. With Change of Hearts it's pulling out the weeds that have grown up in our lives to rediscover who we are. It's also about true surrender of the dream of love. The story is so sweet and the characters compelling. I truly loved this story and can't wait for Courtney's next book. She truly has a style I enjoy with the secondary characters and setting that move a story from good to wonderful.

Walsh has penned another endearing novel set in Loves Park, Colo. The emotions are occasionally raw, but always truly real. Readers will root for the characters to discover their potential and realize that love is right in front of them. It takes a little long to get to the point, but the journey is enjoyable.

Walsh (A Sweethaven Summer) pens a quaint, smalltown love story, complete with an overbearing mother, an unscrupulous business partner, and a group of busybodies whose hearts are in the right place even if their actions are questionable. While certain elements are predictable, Walsh develops enough plot twists to make this enjoyable to the end.

“Heartwarming! Paper Hearts is as much a treat as the delicious coffee the heroine serves in her book shop. Courtney Walsh's warm author's voice tells a story of a doctor and a bookstore owner, both living in a town centered on romance, yet both disillusioned by love. Like the matchmakers that surrounded the couple in the novel, I couldn't help cheering them on. A poignant, wry, sweet, and utterly charming read!”

A Sweethaven Summer shines with moments of hope and tenderness. With interesting characters, a delightful setting, and a compelling plot, this is one of those stories that stays with you—like the precious pages of a scrapbook. Even after the story ended, I found myself wanting to visit Sweethaven again.

In A Sweethaven Summer, Courtney Walsh has created a town I want to live in. From the first chapter, the characters became my friends, jumping off the page and into my heart. I didn’t want it to end. A masterful word painting, A Sweethaven Summer is a story of loss, regret, forgiveness, and restoration. Novel Rocket and I give it our highest recommendation. It’s a 5-star must-read.

This book captivated me from the first paragraphs. Bittersweet memories, long-kept secrets, the timeless friendships of women—and a touch of sweet romance. Beautifully written and peopled with characters who became my friends, this debut novel is one for my keeper shelf—and, I hope, the first of many to come from Courtney Walsh's pen.

A Sweethaven Homecoming is a triumph! With the foundations of family, love, and faith, The Circle grows through heartbreak, loss, and betrayal, and emerges renewed in their love for one another and most of all, their love of themselves. The healing properties of their hometown weave a certain magic into each of their lives, and they come to realize that no matter what the world throws at them, ‘you can always go back home.’
